David M. Margulies, MD
President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board

David M. Margulies has been a major contributor to the field of commercial clinical information technology. He has founded several successful health information technology ventures and served as a senior executive at Children’s Hospital Boston, Cerner Corporation, and CareInsite (now WebMD). He has also served on the boards of several health information technology and biotechnology companies. Dr. Margulies is a graduate of Amherst College and Harvard Medical School, board-certified in internal medicine, and has been a faculty member of Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons and Harvard Medical School.

Joseph A. Majzoub, MD
Director

Dr. Majzoub holds the position of Chief, Division of Endocrinology, Children's Hospital Boston, as well as professorships in pediatrics and medicine at Harvard Medical School. He obtained his undergraduate and medical school degrees from the University of Michigan and Stanford University School of Medicine, respectively. In addition to being a founder and director of Correlagen, Dr. Majzoub serves in a consulting capacity as Correlagen's Chief Scientific and Medical Advisor.

Isaac S. Kohane, MD, PhD
Advisor

Dr. Kohane is the director of both the Children’s Hospital Informatics Program and the Bioinformatics Laboratory at the Harvard Partners Center for Genomics and Genetics. He holds the Henderson chair of Health Sciences and Technology and is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Kohane received his undergraduate degree from Brown University and his MD/PhD from Boston University. He is one of the founders of Correlagen and continues to serve as an advisor to the company.

Edwin Trautman, PhD
Chief Operating Officer

Dr. Trautman has been involved in healthcare and technology for over thirty five years. He founded and contributed to several successful health information technology ventures and served as vice-president of the Risk Management Foundation of the Harvard Medical Institutions. Dr. Trautman received his BSc in electrical engineering, his MS in computer science, and his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the MIT and has held academic appointments at Harvard Medical School and MIT.

David H. Carney, MBA
Senior Vice President of Business Development

Mr. Carney founded and co-founded several health information technology ventures where he served as product line executive. Mr. Carney received his degree in mechanical engineering and his MBA from the University of Michigan.

Ute Geigenmuller, PhD
Chief Scientific Officer

Ute Geigenmuller combines over ten years of postgraduate academic research experience in molecular genetics at Washington University, FHCRC, and Stanford University with an interest in scientific communication. Dr. Geigenmuller received her BSc and PhD in biochemistry from the Free University Berlin, Germany.

Christine Vietz, PhD
Laboratory Director

Christine Vietz brings experience in operations management as well as in technical support to her role as laboratory director. Prior to joining Correlagen, she held leadership positions in manufacturing, QC, and technical support at Pierce Biotechnology. Dr. Vietz received her BS in Chemical Engineering and her PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Rochester.

Massimo Morra, MD, PhD
Medical Director

Massimo Morra has been a significant contributor to the field of clinical genetics and primary immunodeficiency disorders, as part of his specialization in pathology and immunology. Prior to joining Correlagen, he held a faculty position at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Morra received his MD from Torino Medical School, Italy, and his PhD from Amsterdam Medical School, The Netherlands.

Tamara Richman, PhD
Director of Product Management

Tamara Richman’s experience ranges from postgraduate academic research in molecular genetics to scientific communication and intellectual property-related issues. Dr. Richman received her BA from Haverford and her PhD from the University of Vermont.

Maung Zaw Min, MS
Director of Application Development

Maung Zaw Min has extensive experience in software development in both industry and academia. Prior to joining Correlagen, he was responsible for scientific software development in the bioinformatics groups at Children’s Hospital Boston. Mr. Min received his BSc in physics from Rangoon University, Burma, and his MS in computer science and physics from Western Illinois University.

John Curran, Ph.D., MBA
Business Development Manager

John Curran brings deep knowledge of commercial diagnostic sequencing to Correlagen, based on his prior work at Athena Diagnostics, one of the pioneers in the area of diagnostic sequencing. Dr. Curran received his BSc in Immunology and PhD in Molecular Genetics from the University of Glasgow, Scotland, and his MBA from Clark University.
